"Before you download, make sure your PC has the horsepower to support it," cautions Bethesda. "Make sure your system requirements exceed Skyrim's recommended specs before attempting to install, and that your PC has Windows Vista/7, a minimum of 4GB of system RAM, and a DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with at least 1 GB of RAM and the latest drivers."

Time to test how good Bethesda's Vista support is.

<3 Bethesda. tongue.gif

I can't wait to get my desktop back so I can test them out (I'll have to get the new DLC first as well, of course). The Creation Engine, the fact they've been doing stuff like this, and steam workshop really make me insanely excited for the next Fallout.

Great. Now I have even more motivation to install Skyrim on my PC. I'm curious how your 5850 manages frock.

Hmmm ... just built my new desktop, deciding whether to rebuild a copy of Skyrim S.T.E.P or to go with these latest revisions of Skyrim.

Are the new DLC files going to be compatible with S.T.E.P I wonder?

Same here. I'm still running the 11.8's since 5000 series support started waning around then anyway.

Mmm Wonder how this improved HD textures against the mods (Skyrim HD and etc.) or the standard HD text pack Betheda released awhile ago.

Is there any point to downloading this if graphics enhancements have already been implemented into your Skyrim?

haha i been avoiding the first texture mod aswell. i don't think the 5850 with 1GB vram can handle it, but I could be wrong.

Can't wait for the new AMD radeon series or Titan if it's decently priced.
