won't hear any complaints from me.

just ordered an Arctic Cooling Accelero Xtreme cooler for my card. Hoping to push 1250Mhz+ and hoping they keep their promise of frametime improvements. If they fail i will switch to Nvidia for their 7XX series.

Nope, FarCry 3 and Hitman already brought both the 7970 and 680 to their knees. Crysis 3 is coming to lay another nail in their coffins.

This makes me feel better about replacing my 7970 with a Titan here in a few weeks, hopefully, if the rumors are true!

Some of us at 1440P and pushing close to 120Hz want more power still.....

I can hit 120FPS on a lot of games, but not all of them, I have also touched the tip of my 3GB VRAM a couple of times already as well.

Considering HD 8000 are same architecture almost all the tuning done to HD 79XX will effect HD 8000.

That makes no sense. I am kind of sad because I am waiting for the next generation before upgrading but I do understand why they are doing it. They feel they are competitive with Nvidia right now and Nvidia is not releasing product right now so they are going to milk all the profits they can out of their current cards that have already recouped their initial investment on.

But go ahead, give Nvidia your money. Say $899 for their Titan card?

Let me tell you why that is not true.

1. New consoles, with PC like architecture, means by 2014 we will be seeing some much more demanding games.
2. Some of us game at very high resolutions, for example I game at 2560x1440 and some people use Eyefinity or Surround at even higher resolutions.

This...

I dislike SLi and Crossfire, I tried it in the past and while I got it to work fine, it was just extra work I didn't enjoy. I also know people on both sides of the campfire that have issues on a pretty regular basis. "Oh Look, new drivers came out....awesome, they just jacked my profiles and performance. Time to tweak again!"

Personally, I am a one card kind of guy, that is why I am excited for Titan and a bit glad that AMD is holding back on their release. As a 7970 user I like the way AMD is going with drivers and think they should stick with that. I feel that they can squeeze more out of the 7000 series, and what they do and learn doing so will help the 8000 series at launch.

Probably they wait for HSA. They want to improve the drivers for the kaveri release? Just a thought

SLI shouldn't be an issue for any of these games coming out.

Ive had zero issues in any major game i have played using dual 670 ftw's this past year and i expect that to continue this year.

It's just odd to me people are craving for these cards to be released when what ever we have now is more then suitable.I am all for overkill and the latest and greatest but this is just ridiculous when the 7 series cards are not even a year old ?
