3930k Loop Suggestions?

Thread Starter
I have a 3930k with a Asus Rampage IV Formula in a HAF X.

Any suggestions on a loop, or a kit to get for it? I would like to get between 4.6-4.9 overclock which is a rather high vCore.

I'd like to stay under $350.

Would the XSPC Raystorm 750 RX360 server well if I got tubing?

The kit will suffice, it does come with tubing but whether or not it's prone to plasticizing I'm not sure. I personally wubsmiley.gif custom loops.

What case are you working with and where are you buying from? Fill out your rigbuilder!

HAF X, I don't care which website they are from or if they are mixed. I just want the best bang for my buck.

Nice rig, Have you thought about going full loop to include the 690 in? Regardless, the kit is fine, but here is a nice little custom loop put together. I'm still relatively new to WC so I'm sure other's can really give you some in-depth responses.

Koolance CPU-380I $75

XSPC Premium Laing DDC Clear Acrylic Top $20

MCP 350 (bmaverick pump) $35

Primochill Advanced LRT 10 feet = $20 or Durelene $9 or so for 10 feet.

Phobya Balancer 250 $38

XSPC Compressions $4 Each... so somewhere around $32-$40

Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 360mm $96

That comes to somewhere around $315 not including shipping.

I can attest to the bmaverick pump, the xspc fittings, and the phobya res. Also the Koolance CPU block is among the best, as is the UT60 rad. As for fans, hear alot of good things about the Cougar Vortex Series. I personally use Bgears B-Blaster 120 (I use 17 of them hehehe). Ofcourse the OCN favorite has to be the Gentle Typhoon

Oh and you will want a Stop Plug if you run a drain tube, I would.

I like the looks of that custom loop you have. I feel like it would perform better than the kit for only a fraction higher.

Anybody else have input?

I have thought about cooling the Graphics card, I just don't wanna spend a **** ton of money on a cover for the GPU.
