We tried to deblur the picture a little (yes I know it is a supposed fake) rolleyes.gif

I'm the Primary Editor and one of the two writers on the site. If you read the interview with Alexey/Unwinder (creator of RivaTuner) with GPU OCing Apps review, then you have read my work thumb.gif

Oh and saw this floating around:

Nice!

I'm sure this is a pretty dumb question, but would a 2-way SLI of 680's be better than this Titan card? (inb4: omg did he ask that?)

Nobody can be sure, but I would say it should be almost equal, however remember that Titan is a single GPU with linear performance scaling vs. SLI scaling per game.

It is verified that Titan has been/is being shipped out to review sites (we haven't been able to line one up yet mad.gif) so benches being leaked now and later could be real.

I'll just repost what I wrote in a different thread

Folks, this is becoming far too much of a common problem.

It would be appreciated if everyone could drop the condescending, rude/disrespectful and general trolling behaviour on overclock.net. There are rules here to be followed by everyone(Yes, including myself) and one of them is to not cause dramas. Please do not try to pick on one's ignorance and attack them for not knowing something that you know. Instead, you should make an attempt to educate one another so that the misinformation can be cleared. We are here for one thing and that's to educate one another and learn what we are all passionate about it. Resorting to personal attacks, trolling and passing disrespectful comments doesn't get you anywhere. It only reflects badly on the community.

With all due respect 5entinal, I report stuff a few times per day. Trolling, being rude to others etc. Most of the time, I come back on and it's still there. And it always seems to be the same few people getting away with it all the time.

I think we need a better system of reporting if we're supposed to help out.

Assuming that data is well beyong 32bytes (256bits), the dual GPU setup would render the two models quite faster.

What's the logic behind your opinion?

in the above condition you're assuming that each will render a single model with the other model being handled by another graphics card.

SLI does not work that way, each card renders an alternate frame ( AFR )

So it's impossible for a graphics card to to assigned a certain model, a certain shader or a certain vertex.

During AFR the graphics card is rendering a full frame, this full frame is no different to the full frame that a single card would be rendering and thus does not benefit from having dual memory pools.

Looking at the architecture directly related to the discussions on topic, I'm wondering what GPU clock speed Range we'll see on the GK110 as stable or allowed by Nvidia.

This entire speculation is likely moot as several have said, until we see not only the base card and base config, but where the headroom is. The 680 can clock 1250+ and base clock is much lower of course.

The range of the GK110 is unknown at this point. All the 40%-100% faster than X card etc. will mean nothing if we don't know the Stock clock vs Allowable OC. Of course I know about Nvidia's green program, but this card seems to be a special offering, no?

Are they going to allow a broader range of OC as Reference? If so this could be the chosen one. If not, why waste our time cigar.gif

If this benchmark holds true it looks like I'll be passing on Titan and keeping my 690 longer then I expected. No way I'm going to drop 1800 dollars on a pair of gpu's that may get matched or close to matched by the 790 later this year at a grand. That 800 could go toward IB-E.

Mods have a life outside of OCN. You have to give the team here time to respond to your queries. Trust me, every time you report something, they get it. thumb.gif
