What's the average OC % you get out of a AMD CPU? 20%?
i did 4.2GHz on my AMD Phenom II x6 1055T locked cpu 2.8 Stock, thats a 50% performance increase.

Stop talking like you know stuff like this about AMD...

And yes those aren't my 24/7 clocks because I don't need anything that high when I use an FX. I normally run 5ghz just for the heck of it but I can put the system through stress tests at 5.35-5.4ghz. Even cine stresses all the cores to the max so that OC would be perfectly fine gaming wise.

Vishera does OC well, it starts out a bit higher than sandy or ivy but ends up a bit higher as well.

I just tested Cine myself, the temps were way lower than Prime or OCCT or IBT, I doubt Cine would crash anything on it's own.

Well ramp your chip up to 5.5 and see then tongue.gif

Stability is relative, cine is tougher than games are most of the time.

Zambezi has good clocks to.

I got from 3.1 - 4.5 without Volt increase and just like.. 5-6 degrees hotter in action.

It's really good if you think about that little bit of money i gave for it.

+1 and thanks for the info! I was honestly surprised by this until I thought about the resolution you run at... that makes sense. I'm running 1920x1200 and I tend to assume that most people are running that res or lower.

I have an FX-8320 too with a single GTX670. I wouldn't have picked the 8320 if I were planning an SLI setup, but then I don't have any interest in running SLI myself, which is why I picked a 970 board.

Confused how your 1055T @ 4.2GHz + GTX670 scores 1000 points more than my 1055T @ 4.2GHz + 7950, though... it was clocked to 1100/1400

So well. I turned my back against him and threw myself in this forum for help, still have problems. Still need help.

Atleast i got rid of my 7870 that had malfunction.

EDIT: Now i notice you have the same card as him! Somedays i wish i would buy one of those instead of my 7950. The 7xxx series are just so full of problems.

you mean your 7xxx series. i play bf3 mp at ultra with my 7950 using 4msaa and my minimum never goes below 60. i keep the gpu at stock and oc my chip to 4.5 to keep up with it. you need to oc yours.

When i draw up the multiplier over 4.2 Ghz the PC wont start, it only shows the windows symbol that is stuck there.

Life, have you seen this guide?

http://www.overclock.net/t/1140459/bulldozer-overclocking-guide-performance-scaling-charts-max-ocs-ln2-results-coming

it was done on a gigabyte. your 970 looks capable for more and just needs to be tweaked.
