Horrible BF3 performance on Asus notebook - Page 2

I'm running a custom adaptation of the High Performance power plan, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I fully updated the factory HDD with Windows 7 HP x64 on it and ran Battlefield on it... Fraps reported a steady 26-31 fps on 1080p with settings on medium, it played quite well.

I suppose it must be down to a driver issue then; I'll try messing around with the drivers over the weekend, see how that goes.

Just installed Win7, installed Win7 graphics drivers, then upgraded to Win8 (kept nothing), installed all Win8 drivers and installed BF3, works fine now. :s It's weird, my desktop Win8 upgrade needed the same thing sort of. I had graphics and audio driver issues on that one when I did a clean install of Win8, was solved by going through Win7 first...

I really don't understand why this happens, but I'm glad it's sorted. Thanks everyone!
