directx function getdeviceremovedreason failed with dxgi_error_device_hung....... please help. Error.

Was playing BF3 today and my screen went black for 3-5 seconds then the game crashed with this strange error



I have GTX 680 with up to date drivers.
i5 2500k, 8gb ddr3, win7 64

I have try: reinstalling drivers, tried old drivers, hell... I even reinstalled windows but the problems still happening...
Please help.

Driver errror i had that a couple times they do have the new beta version out 13 something have you updadated yet'

as well is the card overclocked could be a overheating issue.

I have tried that driver... same ****.
I didnt oc my card...

Ok couple things to try update bios, remove and reinstall the video card, check the auxiliary power connector on the card make sure it's fully pluged in.

What model mobo do you have

have you checked to see if the fan on the video is working maybe an overheating issue.

I still get this error with the newest driver 314.07.... i dont know what to do :/

The only time I ever got that error was in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Turns out I had to use OC software and slide the voltage slider a bit to the right even though for the 680 it does absolutely nothing. Maybe try that?

It is not a voltage problem; i run higher than stock with colder temps; i pass on benchmarks with flying colors and no problems; but only problems with BF3. Im not sure...It is only BF3 that i have this problem with; not sure if its driver related or game related?

I have that problem with my rig also, so i dont think it is a driver problem. I think there is a glitch in bf3 that only effects some ppl. It seems to have randomly stopped for me, but for weeks bf3 was unplayable.
