Yeah, I put it on there.. And it suuucks.. That part of the mod is completely useless.. It does not fit the other half of the back, nor does it bend like the original to fit the handles and everything.

So I am going to mod the original panel - or basically just cut the small part that is in the way. Will leave a little gap in the panel, but shouldn't be that big of a problem.

But I am VERY disappointed after waiting over a month and paying a lot of money for a couple of screws and an aluminum panel thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Another idea..

My frontpanel is going to be completely clean from the outside, but the metal part on the inside is preeeetty ugly from the original drive and my modifications.. So I am probably going to cut most of it and replace it with some 3mm white plexi - and then throw some lighting behind it. This could give a nice effect for the reservoir and casing in general. And give it a more clean look on the inside.

What do you guys think?

I might do the same as you, though I do want to try and patch it if I do cut out that section. I'm not sure how I'll be able to match it. For some reason I thought the kit was supposed to come with both sides. Oh well. It's much easier to work on mine now that I've got standoffs and the new rear IO aluminum piece.

Yeah, the plastic glue I found seemed to work pretty good. So it will probably work with cutting a little plastic, fitting with glue, putting on some filler and then sanding it.. Should hold..

Updaaaaaate!

So.. Like I mentioned earlier, I thought of making a white panel to light up in the front and cut out the metal part. And the next step was just to do it:

Fitted it and wanted to see if pump placement was possible with a stupid hose bend - and it was!

I also filled the plastic parts of the stock back panel to make it look clean - the laserhive one is out of the question.

Also, I am going to use this water for the ROG theme - opinions are welcome:
