I need a new pair of hedphones! However, I'm allergic to the leather used in most!

Hey guys!

I've recently found after wearing my Logitech G35's for extended periods of time, on my head around the cups, I was getting an allergic reaction. Not pretty.

So I'm looking into getting a new pair of headphones for my system, the earcups and headband have to have neoprene or a different type of material. The best I've found so far are the Razer Orca, and they are $70NZD here in New Zealand.

So can you guys help me? Any advice would be appreciated. Unfortunately I can't get a sound card due to Mini-ITX restrictions.

As per this forum,
Music tastes include dubstep, party, rock
Need to be good for gaming and music listening
Will be used mainly at home.
Have to be available in New Zealand

Thanks!
Demos.

I don't know what places you can by headphones from around there, but if you can find a pair of Sennheiser PC 360 they would suit you very well.

They look very much like they have leather on the ear cups?

Plus I'm fine with headphones, I don't really need a microphone

EDIT: Oh no I'm lying, It looks like velvet.

They look very much like velour.

Which is soft and you won't break out and your head won't explode with disease.

Looks like it is alcantara, which is a composite. Senn uses alcantara a lot on their high end cans.

Haha! Thanks. Yeah it sucks being allergic to the material like 90% of headphones and headsets are made out of.

Are there no good headphones though? I don't need a mic, I've got a Blue Snowball.

The JVC HARX7000 is a brilliant low cost headphone. I've don't know the exchange rates, but the HARX are only $35 US and they are similar to the Audio Technica A700 but at 1/3 the cost or less.

hd 598 is the micless variant of pc 360. cheaper version is hd 558.
i personally use hd 558, it's super comfortable, feels like there is nothing on your head, i can wear it for 24 hours if i have that much time, lol

I bought the Sennheiser HD 518's from JB Hifi a few months back, they use velour sort of material (super comfy) and they sound wonderful.

What's your budget?

Also where abouts do you live?
