thats a nice starter build... and if you want i could sell you my previous thermaltake air cooler (it worked amazing and still does)... i dropped it for trying to do watercooling... i was running my i5 at 4.2ghz with a steady temp of 33C... you can pm me if you want to work out a deal... and i would definatley recommend the antec lanboy air case but your gonna have to search for it because its been discontinued... but there pretty cheap (one just sold on ebay for 125$)

I am such a noob with this stuff. But i seem to know how to build a computer since i have watched every tutorial of "How To" on youtube.com. And another question, what is the best 60hz monitor, and im talking very clean frame rate.
Get the Asus P8Z77-V LK motherboard instead, drop down from a HD 7970 to a HD 7950, and you don't need 750W even for a 7970 so just get a quality 550W. You can also get a cheaper case.

What do motherboards do exactly when it comes to performance or just what it does for "computer"
a motherboard is basically the frame for you to build your computer inside... the better the mobo, the more possibilities for your computer... not to mention overclocking...
"Frame Rate" isn't really about the monitor, it's all in the GPU/CPU. If you're getting a 60Hz monitor, you really only need to hit 60fps for an optimal picture.

Look for a monitor with low "response time"...the best gaming monitors are 2ms GTG "Gray to Gray"...don't worry about exactly what that means, find a decent name brand monitor (Asus has some great ones) with 2 or 3ms response time. Anything much higher and you will see "ghosting"...meaning you will see double images or image trails during fast action.
