For those that don't know what Lucid Virtu MVP is, here's everything you need to know about it: http://www.lucidlogix.com/technology.html

In short Lucid Virtu MVP is a software/hardware solution that allows any current GPU, from both NVIDIA and AMD, to work together with the integrated GPUs of Intel's LGA1155 processors. Here's the current list of Motherboards supporting this technology: http://www.lucidlogix.com/mvp-product-list.shtml.

Lucid Virtu MVP 2.0 was released yesterday, we've been hearing about this since last year, it was supposed to debut at CES, but it didn't for some reason. So here it is (trial version):

Haven't gotten it to work for 6 months, I hope 2.0 fixes the problems.

I wonder if these would be bundled into Z87 motherboards or will they write a new program for Haswell IGPU.

You can download the trial version though, 30 days is more than enough to see if 2.0 is really that much superior, in terms of stability, performance, compatibility, etc, vs the previous build.

I don't think I've heard anything about a new Hydra chip being developed, so we'll see.

I don't think the issues plaguing this technology are hardware related though, they main issue is the lack of compatibility with new games and drivers. And even if you got it working, most people suffered from crashing issues, weird artifacts, etc, although most of it was related to the Hyper Performance portion of the Virtu software.

Hopefully 2.0 fixes all of this.

so, we have to pay for an update of a crappy useless software? no thanks.

I'd give it a shot if it worked with SLI. Honestly though, it is a pretty horrible program, exceptional concept though. AMD APU looks like a professional version of LucidVirtu.
