Does AMD support 144Hz??

Hi there,

I recently purchased a new Asus 27" monitor that has a refresh rate of 144Hz, I'm just wondering if AMD drivers support it or not because I can only seem to set it to 60hz? frown.gif

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers! thumb.gif

Are you using a dual link dvi cable?

It's needed for that Hz refresh rate.

hmm, go into control panel, display, adjust resolution, advance settings, monitor, and change the refresh rate to 144Hz there, hit apply.

See if that helps.

Make sure your cable has the teeth that resemble this cable:

Sometimes companies throw in the wrong cable with thier monitors.

Your 7970s do support the Hz, must be an option in Catalyst.

You might need to install the drivers for the monitor.

I just tried the monitor in the miss' computer and its works without any tweaks... she has a Sapphire 7970. What the hell is wrong with my computer? frown.gif

So confused right now... will reformatting maybe help?

i am using the 13.1 drivers , and she is still using the 12.8 drivers..
