3570k Overclock suggestions? - Page 7

After posting in the delidding club, I'm going to attempt a 5ghz boot, and see if I can complete Superpi 32m. Supposedly if I can boot below 1.4v, it's a good chip, and would be worth my time delidding.

So since I can boot mine at 5ghz @1.320v, I have a really good chip?

Be sure about that you have indeed a good chip if you can boot on OS at this voltage the only question is how much you will need to get it stable....

Tried yesterday, everything ran smoothly until prime and then it gave me whea errors. I tried upping the voltage and but seem to get worse as i upped it near 1.4. I think it could be stable but my knowelege is lacking in this area.

That's the same with my chip too, to boot 1.432 but for stable i would need more than 1.5 for sure,
but that is not gonna happen cause of cooling issues lol biggrin.gif

I tried running my VCORE on auto to see hows the board gonna handle it since i already know my 4.4 Ghz is stable with 1.2V. As i thought i did and run prime 95 to see whats gonna happen... Just after 2 minutes i hit 92C - the VCORE mobo thought is needed to run it was 1.32V lol. I doubt i can get much more from this chip and cooling if it goes that high already during small FFT test frown.gif

All I know, is I can boot 4.7ghz with 1.24v, but I need a bit more to be stable, just not sure how much more because I think I'll be limited thermally unless I delid.

Yup running 4.8 atm @ 1.38v I can boot 4.8 around 1.29v ish but have found its prolly around 100% stable around 1.36-1.38. However since I cant prime it itll max tj in under 30 mins lol. also since im running 2400mhz ram figured itd need more juice so 1.38 is were it sits for couple months now heavy gaming etc.

Is there anything I can do to make mine stable at 5ghz other than keep raising the voltage? I can boot into anything past 1.320, soon as I start testing I get whea errors, but I can surf the web and minimal other stuff no prob, what's weird is when I set to 1.4v as soon as I boot I instantly get whea error. It can't be far off from being stable though. I can do the basics in oc'ing but nothing really technical.

From what I've seen temps haven't been a real concern yet so I'm curious if I can run 5ghz stable for for those times I need that much.
