cpuZ values

I have never overclocked before.
I don't see a benefit yet (except I won't buy a 3500+ now) :-)

Does the core stepping mean I have this one: http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desk...=ADA3000DAA4BP

I read that the HT Link should always be <= 1000MHz.

Do you see anything else wrong with this:

NameAMD Athlon 64 3000+
Code NameVenice
SpecificationAMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
PackageSocket 939
Family/Model/SteppingF.F.0
Extended Family/ModelF.2F
Brand ID4
Core SteppingDH-E3
Technology90 nm
Core Speed2250.2 MHz
Multiplier x Bus speed9.0 x 250.0 MHz
HT Link speed1250.1 MHz
Stock frequency1800 MHz

looks good

the simple way to start overclocking is to bump the bus speed up in 10mhz incraments until it is unstable, if it is unstable bump the vcore up one notch, you may also want to run your memory on a divider

use this handy tool to calculate your overclocks:

The system seemed stable but I got RAM errors with Memtest :-(

The "1000" is the default 5x200MHz=1000
To acomidate OCing the CPU drop to a 4x for CPU bus speeds of up to 250ish and above that drop to 3x. You want to keep it between about 750-1000

The actual production stepping is on the IHS.
