Sound blaster Z problems

So for over the last week or so I have been have problems with my sound card...I power on my pc and sometimes it doesn't even show it detected and other times its under device manger but it does not show anything connected like my mic or headset!!!!!! I have tried removing the card from its slot, Disable and enable in device manger and I got nothing....I sent creative an email to call me and yet they haven't...Also with the email they had sent me had to phone numbers to call one doesn't work and the other is only Monday - Thursday Is anyone else having a problem like this google came up with nothing

That is a driver issue. Format your PC and reinstall everything. thumb.gif

And which driver would that be cause I really don't feel like formating at this time since my install is only like 2 months ago

Just uninstall the driver and get the latest one from creatives website. Just the main driver, not the whole suite.

I have and since I uninstalled the drivers it will not let me install them again It says "! Setup was unable to detect supported product on your system"

Creative has a tendancy (even until today) to leave a lot of registry and temporary left over files after you uninstall their drivers.
This usually causes a problem when you want to update or rollback a driver, why they haven't created a proper uninstallation method is beyond me.

Run CCleaner or Revo Uninstaller Pro to clean the registry. Then head into safe mode and clean the left over files by searching all creative files in your Windows Explorer.

*EDIT*
Alternatively, you can try and use driversweeper in safe mode as well. This works perfectly too.
