1. All them cables that connect to the bottom of your MB (usb headers, IO connectors front audio etc.), run them under the MB itself.

2. That cable running across the case (in front of the graphics card), do what ever it takes to run it behind the MB as well. It is very eye catching.

3. The two PCie power cables for your GPU, cable tie togeather, and exit them through the cutout behind the card. Keep them tight and straight.

4. Where you have all the cables coming out of the PSU, run the ones at the front further, the ones at the back can exit first.

I have listed them in order to how I think they will most improve everything.

Cheers man. I know everyone runs those connectors under the motherboard, I assume that my case is like most which doesn't have cut outs there, so how do I run them under the mobo. Do I run it down the back where the cutout is for the back of the motherboard?

And I don't really understand that last point. What do you mean run the ones at the front further?

Yes, run the cables through the CPU cut out, since that is all you have. They should reach. Most cases give ya ample length for that sort of thing.

As for the PSU cables, below is a sketch (sort of) :

I would run cables 1-4 and 10 and 11 through the second cut out whole. The square one with no grommet.

Whilst getting the others through the first cut out. With the grommet.

A big key to making your cables look good or great is; Hide'n them, keeping them all the same tension and having them all flowing together.

Just what I have picked up by watching the Post your "rate my cables" here thread for a while thumb.gif

If they don't reach or something, I guess bad luck, or extensions are needed.

Which in my opinion if you need one, you need them on all cables, keeps it looking great. thumb.gif

well i fixed the PCIE cables which has helped a bit, I just hope its not to tight? The ugly USB 3.0 cable running straight through the guts is just going to have to stay where it is until i pick up the cord that lets you plug it into the motherboard. That chart with the psu cable placement is definitely helpful. As you can tell i didn't know how to start them all out. Heres a quick pic with the fixed pcie cable, my remaining issues are obviously the usb cable and the tangle beginning from the psu?? Oh and the ssd is mounted like poo, but that shouldn't matter to much?

You can go pretty tight. For the 24 pin mobo power I actually bent the cable with my hands to make it as tight as possible without putting any pressure on the connector. Some peoples rigs have the wires looking like they are under 200lbs tension lol

Your getting it though. You need to do something about the wire that runs from the back IO to the... front panel? Or Top fan? You can see in the pick. Anyway, try routing that up and around if you can, or under the mobo?

Then just work at the PSU cable and USB/Sata/Sound or whatever cables. The latter being a few minute fix really, and easy.

You'll get it. And remember, tight and clean. You don't have to be crazy like some, but try not to leave it too slack is all. Good luck.

The USB header is easy to pass behind the motherboard, then around the back fan and then you make it exit.
