Get a bigger case, water cooling for your FX, and another GTX 680. Maybe another monitor or two.

And switch to intel wink.giftongue.gif

6GB of ram on an AMD system? You can't be running it in dual channel..

Get yourself a nice 16GB kit. Keep the rest of the money.

This. Right here.

Either go water and go custom so you can hit 5ghz, or just upgrade your ram and be happy where you are for the time being. If you want to upgrade, in another several months we should start seeing new GPUs then.

I know AMD has new GPUs in the pipeline for this year. Nvidia has Titan but that's really just a refresh, but it would drive 680 prices down ever so slightly. Of course you could be like me and dual boot with Linux, in which case it doesn't matter how nice the new ATI stuff is, it's not really a good idea. But if you're a windows only user the new AMD GPUs could get interesting.

thumb.gif only problem is the silver arrow is in the way. thats the reason on top of the high temps that I'd like to replace it.

Things that I'll be getting, a SSD to replace my small set of ssd's. A new set of ram. Looking for somekind of cooler replacement for the cpu, maybe going custom then, this case does have room for it.
I feel like getting a GTX680 since im running a 1000w psu with only one gpu right now, used to have 2 and even then it may have been a bit overkill.

been thinking about this. I definitely want more ram, I used to have 8GB but I broke one of the modules removing its head spreader, so I need a low profile set of 16GB 1600Mhz or higher, any reocmmendations? , pricerange 100 to 200 eur

Should I invest in the samsung wonder ram which is not available in my country, need to get it from somewhere else.

Also im going to replace my SSD's, already found a buyer for my old vertex 2 for a few bux. need a good fast, ssd 200 GB or above, any recommendations? not 500GB, I'd rather have it under 200 eur

I'll keep the rest of the money and maybe go somewhere with it. While another gtx 680 would be nice, I don't really need another one.

Think thats it, Guaranteed rep for the guy who posts the parts I end up buying. thumb.gif

here is some stuff that intrests me.

There is a low cl 7-8-8-24 kit from G.skill, But I'm not sure if its available to me.

G.Skill PC3-12800 / DDR3 1600 Mhz, 4 x 4GB, 7-8-8-24, 1.5V, RipjawsZ
F3-12800CL7Q-16GBZM

would this be a good choice for AMD? its been designed (recommendation) for intel x79. Also I'm not entirely sure would they fit under the old silver arrow (original?) since they are 40mm high.

then there is G.Skill 16GB (4x4GB) Ares DDR3-1600, 8-8-8, 1.5V
F3-1600C8Q-16GAB
its been marked to support AMD.

Should I just get 2 sets of these?

http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/khx16c9b1rk2_8x.pdf

is it really worth it to get special ram and just take a nice set of kingstons? x2
