A reliable reviewer already has said that other reviewers are seeing less than GTX 680 SLI performance.
The Titian isn't going to outperform a 690 or 680 SLI. But it could be 80-85% of that and it's still pretty good.

The decision then is, Will GTX 660/670 SLI be a cheaper solution to the Titian.

Source?

I will also point out that another "reliable" reviewer said that reviewers didn't have Titans in their hands for benching. Shortly after another "reliable" reviewer came out and said they do indeed have them.

Just wanting to get things sorted out as best as possible with such a mess going on. biggrin.gif

There are instances tho where SLI isnt always the best option and a strong single gpu card is best. I loved my 560tis in SLI, but I often got headaches with them and will just stick with 1 powerful gpu from now on instead of 2 midrange cards. Im not expecting the Titan to just plain outperform a 690, but as a single GPU card if it even comes close, it will be worth the price of admission to me.

Yes but still, if Titan, a single GPU, is just short of SLI 680's then think of what SLI Titans will do!
The performance of Four 680's rolled into Two Titans.

But it might be even better since 2 cards tend to scale better than 3/4.
Or Titan could be totally locked down and have no SLI capability.

I'm starting to wonder what exact crowd this card is trying to attract. At first I thought it was me but unless I go Sli it wouldn't make any sense since a 690 will be more powerful and on a single 2560x1440 I'm not in much need of the added vram. This card will be way overkill for a single 1080p 60hz so maybe single 1080p 120hz users? I had 1080p 120hz recently and my 690 had no problem pushing frames above 100fps in all games in that resolution to a Titan being within 85% should have no issue aswell. Most enthusiast with high-end rigs have some sort of Sli/crossfire and it doesn't seem that this card will outperform 680 sli or 7970 crossfire since its doesn't exceed a gtx690. My only assumption would be that this card is made for people doing 1080p 60hz eyefinity. Otherwise to push anything else 2560 eyefinity or 120hz eyefinity you would need two Titans to pull this off properly. Two would bring a 1800 price tag and probably worth it for eyefinity users but single monitor users it may be foolish to go sli. I'm sure the 780 sli or a single 790 would be a much cheaper and better option for single 2560 users like myself.
