GTX 660 Aftermarket Cooler

Thread Starter
Is there an aftermarket cooler that is compatible with the 660 non-ti? I'm not too fond of the stock cooler that came with my EVGA card.

I was going to recommend you Arctic Accelero coolers

http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/assistant/vga/chip/256

But they support 660ti.

non ti 660 is not supported which sux.

Even 650ti is supported in some models of these coolers.

Have it on my 670, you can't hear it and it cools excellent.
You really don't want those heavy dual-fan solutions on your tiny card.

How is the installation procedure on that thing?

What EVGA card do you have? and what temps are you getting?. It should be sufficient enough for cooling. For 119$ that cooler is not worth it!. Why not even sell or return your evga 660 and get the msi twinforzer III card???

I have this one in SLI http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127702, and my top card has never gone above 69c at 1293Mhz.

In crysis 3 it stays somewhere around 65c. For the 660, you really don't need to spend 100$ on an aftermarket cooler, you will definitely get up to your max overclock limit before you start worrying about heat issues.

Nowadays the main reason for replacing a cooler is not because it would be insufficient, but because it's annoyingly loud.
And 119? Are you absolutely sure we are looking at the same thing?
The mono plus can be found for 39 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186063

Easy, but if you get it, I do recommend that you get some thermal tape instead of the glue they use for the ram sinks.
That goes for all Arctic cooling.

It's a 660 superclocked. Last time I played BF3 the temps were in the low 70s. Yeah I thought about trading it out for the MSI version just for the cooling. It's a great card, but overclocking sux. And yeah it gets F@#$ing loud when the fan is running at max speed.

Trade it for the MSI if you can, it'll save you a whole lot of cash, and who knows, you might get a golden overclocker smile.gif. BTW I can't hear my msi cards in SLi over my Lousy H100 cooler. tongue.gif And i do have an aggressive fan profile on Evga precision. So you would be fine.
