I'm just wondering, would I be able to just heat it up and stretch it around the corners, or would I have to cut it for each corner?

It's not "that" hard. I used a standard hairdryer to heat the vinyl. Then stretched the vinyl a bit at a time until it wraps the corner nicely. It does take a long time, so patience is key! Give yourself plenty of extra vinyl around your project. Wrapping that front bezel took me about an hour. You'll need a good set of sharp hobby knifes(x-acto knifes) too!

This project is on a budget so I couldn't afford the 3M stuff, I bought this stuff:

I found it fine, I've not used 3M vinyl so I couldn't say if it is just as good though.

Cool, I personally think you'll be fine with that vinyl. I would order enough for yourself to do it twice, just in case you mess up. If you don't then you'll have to spare to make some matching items, like what I did, your mouse.

Current state of the build. I'm not 100% happy with the front bezel, so I'm redoing it and having it laser cut. I'm thinking of removing the DVD drive entirely, it's pretty much redundant now seen as all my games are through Steam. Below is a mock up I design in Inkscape, red lines are cut lines and black are engrave lines.

Very nice, but I think you could incorporate the dvd drive as a stealth one, with a hidden cover, or maybe use a slot loaded one. (I wanted to do that myself but never got around to do it)

I suppose. I quite like the idea of a slot loading drive, you don't see that very often on PCs.
