I've been doing the same thing this winter biggrin.gif Be careful though! We had a spell of sub zero days and I wasn't paying much attention to my SR-2 at the time. Walked by my office and looked at the LED readout that displays the core 0 temp and it was in the 80s... My radiator froze! I shut it down immediately. Everything ended up being fine. Just had to let the radiator thaw out. Hah!

Well that is just cold, ouch.

It's -1C outside here without windchill, and that's too cold for my taste.

Oh, good call, thanks for the warning.  I'm just using a little h80, so it's not a custom loop with distilled water, not sure what you had for coolant, hopefully that will help prevent that.

Right now temps look good to me for a h80 with a 3930k @ 4.8ghz and 1.42V.

Gah... I don't even want to think about that. I can barely handle 10c.

However, all you have to do in that case is just place your radiator outside and hope your coolant doesn't freeze coolsmiley02.gif

In other news, I just realized Foldathon is almost over frown.gif

I love the corsair series. I have the 100i and my temps have not gone above 71c with my 3930k at 4.7ghz.

I think I am going to play around with overclock when this is done. What ram speed are you running?

I have found my 3930k won't oc to 4.8ghz with my memory at 2133.

Edit: Sort of double posted. My bad!

I'm not running any coolant, just distilled water. I ran my radiator like that before but never ran into the cold like we did this winter. I thought about throwing some coolant in it after the fact, but I don't want to deal with flushing it and all that nonsense. I'm just keeping a watchful eye over it and the weather. It has warmed up considerably so I think I'm in the clear now thumb.gif

Tell you the truth, it's warmed up. Last week was a crappy week with an occasional dip in the -50c with windchill. It's like spring to me now.

And yeah rad is outside with Mayhems XT-1 45-55 mix.
