Excellent - glad to have you onboard.

I hope you enjoy it then, coz once you folded, you can never go back devil.gif

If anyone with a cat3 eligible piece of hardware is looking for a TC team, feel free to shoot me a PM! thumb.gif

The Brass Bottom Boys are looking for a new Cat3 and are in desperate need!

Happy folding, All!

Exclamation points!

I'm in. Reminders set and I think I might actually have working rigs this time. Last time my main rig dropped out right in the the middle of it. I made lots of attempts to use it in the BOINC competition and failed miserably. Come to find out just yesterday after I had already replaced hardware and reinstalled everything from a clean slate it did it again. I finally narrowed it down to AIDA64 was making my main rig unstable. I have uninstalled it since. Now that I know what caused it I am going to fumble around with the AIDA64 settings to see if I can keep it and be FaT stable in time. Wish me luck.

Keep on foldin'! thumb.gif

If you do choose to enable the 7950 you will likely have to take away one thread from your CPU folding because folding on an AMD GPU requires a fair amount of CPU resources that should be set aside to avoid the CPU and the GPU fighting over them.

Wow, screw that. Also I just learned AMD cards have drivers issues with folding. I set it up and it's only folding at 33% GPU usage. Come on AMD, get your act together.

Also, it's taking ~9% of my CPU like you said, juano. I'm not going to fold on it. Losing one IVB core @ 4.9GHz is way not worth it.

Guessing you are on beta drivers.....

It's worth it for science. GPUs do sooooo much more work than CPUs.

And I do believe it's more F@H program architecture over AMD drivers. thumb.gif
