After fixing the overly tight side panel clips, I was left with a crappy looking top panel. I e.mailed them up two days ago asking if it was a possibility to just purchase a new top panel for my case.

Today I got two e.mails; one from SilverStone saying a new top panel was being shipped out today, and another e.mail from UPS with a tracking number. Sadly, it is not scheduled for delivery until the 27th, but then again it is coming from California.

Overall, I can say I'm satisfied thumb.gif

Good to get notified without having to babysit a company to do the right thing.

I wished my dealings with one company I have in mind was that good.

Also good to hear another positive Silverstone USA experience.

Thanks so much for your post and +1 Repped!

To everyone else, I still seeking more input........................please.biggrin.gif

Building in your absolutely 100% favorite case tomorrow! I will call Cooler Master, talk to them if I can, and if quality control isn't great on the case, then I will post it here along with pictures if I can find my camera before school (which is where I do about 30% of these).

LOL! tongue.gif

No doubt that you'll get a good one.

Do you really think they're going to admit anything "negative" about that case anyway?  I would only speak to them in the event you do get one with like issues I encountered.

Remember: The bads were just reserved for me. laugher.gif

This is my latest build:

Still searching for another case and haven't decided yet, no hurry though.

I didn't get any pictures of it, but a foot had fallen off, and the something broke (I heard a snap then called him) putting it back in, but the customer didn't care to wait for a replacement after I told him about your experience, so I electrical taped it to the bottom of the case. I did call Cooler Master and complain, and that went decently well, only 1 hour on hold, and then the woman explained to go to their website and fill out a replacement form, and I told her my customer doesn't care enough to wait for that, she said she was sorry for the shotty experience, and hung up. I was ok with the phone conversation end of it. Over all, the build quality of the case wasn't half bad, but it wasn't the greatest either. If I were to build in it for myself it would be as a replacement for my HTPC case that I will be taking from my parents when I move out because they treat it absolutely horrible.

Bolded: Very bad IMHO.

For the fairly high market share this company has their low vote number of the poll in this thread part reflects experiences like yours IMHO.

How did the panels fit?

How was the paint job?

Did the case rock on a level surface?

At its price point it's not a "terrible case" if one gets a decent one, but a foot falling off means that it either wasn't screwed in correctly at the factory and even possibly over-torqued, messed up in shipping and or that the screw hole for the foot on the chassis is possibly compromised that the screw would then possibly be too small - just my guess from what it sounds like sight unseen.

It's almost seems that (when that time comes) it's good purchasing a used proven one.

So sorry for your experience.

I've had longer waits than just one hour so I was OK with waiting 1 hour, and the phone conversation couldn't get any worse than the AZZA phone call. The panels fit perfectly fine, except the top one which had a little bit of wiggle room until I put the thumb screws in. As far as the case rocking on a level surface, I know it did after I put electrical tape on the foot to hold it on. Before that, I am not sure, as the foot was on after I took it out of the box, and off before I set it down.

Still for a company to essentially waste your time to then get nowhere is where it's at.  Some other companies may have just asked for your shipping address and quick same day shipping of that part for your troubles.

Not that broken foot part but lets say it was the power switch that wasn't working, then one would have downtime because of and or their incompetence or unwillingness to follow the rules of customer service as in my signature.

Looks like Cooler Master to an extent still needs to "learn" how to make these cases, but I guess their customer service needs work first.

I had a good experience with Rosewill. My case came and everything was great except one USB 2.0 port on the top of the case was dead. I emailed them and in less than a week I had my replacement parts. Not only did they send me a new USB 2.0 port but they sent me new of every port on the outside of the case. So now I have backups for in the future if anything decides to go out. Super painless and fast experience. Would definitely buy from them again.

Thanks for your post and you've been +1 repped, your first!

Rosewill is pretty much Newegg and some of their "stuff" can be questionable as far as quality is concerned though the rest can be good.

Thanks again! smile.gif
