Can't OC anymore? 0x124 BSOD

Thread Starter
I have an i7 960, I had it at a 4.2 gHz for the longest time 100% stable. After having issues with a program and resetting to stock for a week (a possible solve for the program failing was OC'd RAM) I can't overclock my processor anymore. I put it back to the 4.2 settings I had it at for months, and I kept getting failed attempts to start windows or the 0x124 BSOD. Increasing the QPI allowed me to get into windows, but instantly gave me a BSOD when starting prime. I could toy with the Vcore, which I did have to raise to reclock it after a day of putting it back to stock. Anyone have any advice?

Might be CPU degredation. Turn up the Vcore or reduce the speed to around 4GHz with the same settings as before.

Do you have more information your willing to throw out there? Board/settings?

I know these may sound silly on questions but first thing i was wondering is there, a chance you might have missed a setting?
Also have you tested the ram to see if its also problematic?

It's a G1.Guerilla, and yes I tested the ram. I checked all the settings, I had everything the same as it's been.
