I have a 40inch screen as my main monitor at 1920X1080 and I want to pick up two smaller monitors that are 1920X1080 and place them on either side in portrait mode. I want to know if this is possible with eyefinity. I have a 6970GPU, I have read that it isnt possible, but then I have seen pictures like these

In this article I found it states "you can create a three-monitor configuration using a single high-resolution 2,560x1,600px display flanked by two monitors of any resolution arranged in portrait."
Is this only possible with a center screen with 2560X1600res?
