Hi, im new here at overclock, i just recently build also my gaming rig but not fully for gaming, mostly for my work, im just wondering if my temps are fine. I have read also others post for i7 3770k but they have a bit higher clocks and different heat sink. smile.gif

100% cpu usage for 12mins using prime95 at 66C but sometimes goes to 71c, but mostly it stay between at 66-67C

Specs:

Asrock z77 Extreme 6
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB 8GB 1600mhz
Corsair GS700 PSU
1 x 1tb seagate

Those temps are fine, as long as you're under 85 at full load, there's nothing to worry about smile.gif

I would run Prime for much longer than 12 mins though, try 12 hours

Thanks for the fast reply, maybe ill try to stress test my processor soon, btw whats the use of having it stress for 12hrs?

i have another question, using an onboard video does it add heat to processor? if i have a video card will it reduce the heat on processor? smile.gif

Long stress tests are use to prove stability, it also takes a while to get to max temps.

I have no idea regarding the onboard question, logic would suggest yes but I've never used onboard myself
