1, Bulldozer performs better in Linux than Windows?
Anything performs better in linux, heck my old pentium feels like a quadcore when using mint debian.

2, If you disable the modules, you get better gaming (Singlethreaded) Performance
Yes, if you overclock the remaining modules, or let them run in turbo mode.

3, Faster RAM has an effect on CPU Performance?
Yes, I noticed a big jump in speed from 1333 to 1600

4, Intel i5 3570k and a FX8350 is a difference of night and day in games?
I can't answer that without experience. Both are unlocked and overclockable so it depends on which one can overclock the highest.
I noticed my overclocked FX6100 beats my i5 2310 in games and video rendering. The i5 is locked so its stuck at 3 ghz.

PS
If you will be upgrading from a Pentium D, even a Pentium G620 sandybridge dualcore will feel extremely fast.
The difference in architecture is big when comparing the new dualcores against the old ones.
My mom still has a Pentium D 820 2.8 Ghz and it bottlenecks an HD3650 512mb

Well said!

I've never heard of disabling the extra 'core per module,' or is it 'module per core?' (lol the distinction is a little confusing) and having it give you better single threaded performance.

off topic- I've been looking at upgrading from 1333 9-9-9-24 to 1866 8-9-9-24 and ultimately didn't do it because I didn't think that performance would scale linearly, but now that you mention it's a noticeable jump from 1333 to 1600 I just might. Thanks!
