Can't get i5-3570k ratio past 41

Hello. I just finished building my new pc with an i5-3570k and the ASUS P8 Z77-V LK (bios are up to date). I'm having trouble overclocking the cpu ratio past 41. In the bios I've set the ratio to 42 (originally I was going for 45), but when I start windows and check it with CPU-Z it never goes past 41. I've tried turning off SpeedStep, but it still wont go past 41. I've also tried looking at a few overclocking guides for steps I may have missed, but I still can't figure it out. Any ideas what I'm missing?

do you have the AI Suite installed?. A few days back, i was having similar issues, although, my system would not run at max multiplier even if i stressed it. I uninstalled AI Suite and now it runs like i configured it in the bios. Have you stress tested it to be sure it is stable ?

Yup, that was it. I uninstalled the whole AI Suite and it respects my bios settings now. Time to start stress testing and see what I can get this thing up to. Thanks!
