Thread Starter
So early today the screen came, the ups dude knocked on my window so ofc i opend the window, got the screen trew it and signed the papers, so maybe UPS should be called Window Mail? rolleyes.gif

The scrreen was packed in a box(ofc) with 3 bubblerap envelopes.

For the dent in the pc, i just took a 2 pices of wood, one on the outside and one inside, and hammerd hard, about 10hits in total where one hit was in my hand (that kinda hurt, but my gf was watching so i pretended it didnt hurt)

The end result was perfect! or atleast good, going to get an image for her on her birthday that she can take on, so she will have a picture to look at rather then the dent on the outside of the laptop =) so that will be an easy birthday present ^-^

So after that done the screen could be taken in:

Little hard to get the connection on when your hands are big, and here i was thinking big hands are a +

after checking that it works. (dont know if there is grounding on the connection or if its between the screen and the back cover, so i just tilted the screen down so the screen layed in place)

For the cables here, i just placed them how i think they should be, was some plastic "marks" where the cable could go between so i just placed the cable on them, so felt it was done profesional thumb.gif

After the cables where in place, then the "frame" could go on. Easy to "click" in place just had to tilt the screen as far back as it went, after that it was no problem to fit the frame.

Closed the screen down, and pressed gently down to get the clicking sound, was abit easyer then trying to click it in place when the screen was up smile.gif

Then the screws, glad i didnt forget where i placed them when i took out the old screen.

Welcome back Asus!

So now i hope i got a happy GF! rolleyes.gif
Atleast now she can empty her camera SD card, so she can take more pictures of Marley (ze dog in the picture above) thumb.gif

On a side note, a big thanks to thumb.gifxyexz thumb.gif for finding a link where i could get a cheep screen, even tho the cost for sending the screen was the same price as the screen ^^ so about 100USd in total, and a big thanks for reading and replying on my post when i was in need and when i was sure i would die when my gf came home tongue.gif

Hey, awesome job Maker! +rep on the job well done on your first lcd installation - it's really not crazy hard if you take your time which it looks like you did wink.gif
Glad I was able to help you with the link and some tips on fixing it!

Nice idea on using wood on both sides if you don't have a rubber mallet!

Glad it's all working and your gf is happy biggrin.gif Nice looking dog as well biggrin.gif
