Hello.

When i play Just cause 2 for like 20-30mins   my screen goes black but game sound and everything else still goes on normaly.

On forums it was told that it cuz of water simulation option ....but even when i turn it off  screen still goes black.....

Any possible ways to fix it ?

Have you looked into the typical things?

-Check temperatures while playing, system might be overheating. (GPU mainly, since it causes the black screen...)
-Try the newest set of drivers for your card.
-If the game is on steam, try verifying the game cache.
-Check power options and also screen saver options and disable them, they might be kicking in for some reason.

More than likely, it's a problem with your system... so just check those things first. I've played the game for a while and never experienced any issues with it.

Also, when the screen is black... are you able to get back to the desktop by Alt-Tab? Do you restart the PC... how do you get out of the game?

Ok... so what are the temps of your cards when you get the black screen? Also, can you check the event viewer... try to see if there's actually something there, saying maybe that the display driver has stopped working.

Try rolling back to a previous driver if you have the latest.

Temps never goes over 70C.

Tryed to roll back to orginal drivers instead of beta ones still the same problem.

And none of drivers have stoped responding ....

On some forums  ppl told its cuz of water simulation or ssao or motion blur .... tryed to turn off but then game looks not so enjoyable anymore.

Does this happen in other games? Sounds to me like a driver crash issue. You might need to check if you have new motherboard bios or GPU bios, check those first. I'd rule those out. Then if your fine there, the only way it'd black screen is if there's 1. A defect with the card or 2. Some issue with drivers. Temps could be an issue, but not relating to the GPU core temp, it could be VRM or memory temps that could cause that issue. I'd make sure the card has everything there, make sure the VRM's have a thermal pad on them.

The only black screens I've ever gotten were on my 580 when I overclocked too far, and not related to temps, the card just blacks out....I believe its just an issue with stability.... Maybe try downclocking the memory a tad and try again?

I've never had an issue with JC2, always ultra graphics, totally maxed out with my 580 and with my 670, gameplay is great!

i had same problem with my gtx470 loong ago  also .So im 100% sure its JC2 foult even on other forums ppl had problems with it till patch ...but i have patched version but still black screen

It happens only in JC2 other games like crysis 3 beta.bf3 and other runs without any issues.

Atm turned of ssoa and water simulation it makes game playable with less eye candy :(
