Thx for the kind words
cant believe you actually saved my photos, lol
I agree on the acrylic point.. it is totally unnecessary and may not look any better (or though I hope it will)
I guess my main reason for switching, is to try something new, since I haven't done anything to my build for so long.. and now that I get GPU replacement, I thought it was time for a new chapter of my build log
I drew up some plans for a acrylic bending tool (didnt bother to get a "professional" kit for 40 dollars)
The messures are all made up, but seams to me like it would work well.. just not sure about the 20mm radius..
Anyone got any info on this? too sharp? not sharp enough?
Im also gonna have to renew my costume backplate.. I got a lot of finger prints on it when I was removing it from my old GPU..
Think im just gonna stick with the same graphics, looked good imo.
While im here, Might as well post my latest modding
My Phobya RGB controller can handle 3 LED strips.. I only used one strip around the top of the XB. but it was 50cm too long, so the rest was just stuffed into the basement..
So I cut off the extra 50cm and soldered a 4pin fan cord extender to the strip/controller, since I dont have any original connectors.
At first I switched two of the wires.. blue was blue, but red had changed to green and green to red.. looked kinda funky when it ran with the "correctly" wired strip
It is not pretty, but it works! and that ugly part is gonna be hidden anyways..
Now I just need to figure where to place this LED strip.
