Powercolor 7870 MYST Tahiti. Anyone have it?

I don't know anyone who has this card.

It has great reviews from many places. The only complaints I hear are it's loud single fan. I don't know how loud is 'loud' because I have used a 9800 and GTS 250 for the last years.

It's beat a 7950 reference @ stock and overclocked it can get close to a 7970.

My budget is under $300 Canadian with taxes/shipping.

If I bought one it would come to $270. A 7950 would come out to $335.

Thanks

as said I am Canadian. Newegg USA and .CA are totally different prices.

That would be over my $300 budget and only $25 difference from a 7950.

This is the Sapphire HD 7870 XT which uses the Tahiti LE chip. uses the dual x cooler which is much better than the cooler on pcs+ myst hd 7870. 10% faster than HD 7870 (Pitcairn).

but i suggest you spend the extra money and grab theSapphire HD 7950 boost. 15% faster than HD 7870 Tahiti LE.

Sapphire Trixx 4.6 fixes that. core voltage control on sapphire HD 7870 XT. even otherwise at stock voltage the sapphire card can easily run at 1.15 - 1.2 ghz. the powercolor cooler gets loud with overclocking.

Prices seem a little high. Any idea when the 8000 series comes out? Maybe these will drop?

I have been waiting months for a good card deal.

what are you saying ? HD 7870 Tahiti LE and HD 7950 boost have the best price perf of any graphics card in the market. the HD 8000 series cards are not going to be available for quite sometime. some say q2 and some say q4.
