Intel Core i7 3770K and Corsair H100 running too hot? - Page 2

It's odd that your 680 is running at 79 deg, I only see those temps in fur mark, and that's with two sandwiched together.

Are the temps you posted from Idle (sitting roughly 10-15 min with no activity)?

Do you live in a freezer???? How are you getting those temps with just an H100...

not a freezer lol house is 60*F. h100 has 4 1850 typhoons in p/p at 100%

I don't understand what would make your GPU idle with those temps.....
Change the fans to intake and see. Maybe the case is just too hot inside. Also what are your ambient temps.

Around 75F ambient temperature in this room.

I've read somewhere just now that the stock fans in the Corsair 800D are terrible, and that they should be replaced with aftermarket fans. Would this potentially help me? Because I have quite a few Coolermaster fans sitting around here that I can try.

I'd reseat that GPU and reinstall drivers. Even with the crummiest fans around, that still seems shockingly high, and what scares me is that it's idle!

Did you put the system together yourself?

I'll try that in a bit. As I mentioned, there is no fan directly next to the GPU because of the way this case is designed.

No. Me and one other person did. He builds computers quite frequently.

Not trying to insult anyone, but, all of the protective film has been pulled off the card and around the fan? Is the fan actually spinning?

Yes, the fan is spinning, and the plastic film has been peeled off.

If you have the side panel of the case off does the card cool down?
