Hi all. I'll cut to the chase.
I used to be able to record gameplay in BF3 without a problem, I switched fairly often between MSI Afterburner (decent quality, no framerate hit) and Fraps (Good quality, big framerate loss). Recently I wanted to start recording my scrims and matches, so I got Dxtory. But no matter what I tried... I simply couldn't get the audio and video to sync up in the recording. In a video editor, the tracks are the same length. But throughout the recording the audio lags further and further behind, and by the end of a 20 minute match I can unload a clip and then reload, and after I finish the reload animation the sound of bullets will start. Here's an example:Embedding is acting weird for me, if you have problems click on the video and start at 23:00.
First I thought it was just my CPU not being able to keep up. Changed encoding thread count to 4, still no change.
Then I thought it was my HDD not being able to keep up. Recorded a test to my SSD (write speed of 225 MB/s) and still no change, the lag was still there.
My last idea was that the tool was having trouble with recording two audio sources, my Line-In and my Output. But that road led to the same dead end.
I gave up and went back to MSI Afterburner, and guess what? The same thing was happening, though I was able to use it flawlessly in the past. The only thing I can think of is codec/software interference, but I don't have any extra codecs installed except the one I want to use, h264vfw. So I'm turning to the OCnet forums for some help.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated, solutions or not. Thanks in advance.
