I seriously doubt it. Most people could care less about a single pound. People generally by mobile devices that are "cool", popular, and work better.... Size matters more than weight when it comes to sales too, IMHO.

Yeah, personally I don't mind ATIV being larger(11.6" screen vs 10.6" for surface) and 1 lb heavier than Spro because imo the benefit of larger battery and a true laptop keyboard offsets that for me. But I am sure the Spro supporters would pounce on that.

If the Surface Pro had the same removeable dock/keyboard/battery combo, i'd probably buy it (it's currently in the works). That would do nothing but add more versatility to my Surface Pro - don't need more than 5 hours of battery life? I'll stick with my Type Cover. Need more than 5 hours without being plugged in? Take the dock attachment with me....that's really all there is to it.
