Anyone tried the new Monsoon fittings?

They look good in the pics, and I like the way you can tighten them without scratching the finish. Just wondering if they feel "solid" after installation.

I've seen quite a few people that have been using them and they look pretty good. I don't think I would like to use them as I believe there are better looking ones but certainly haven't heard any complaints about their performance.

I'm using Monsoon fittings and pretty satisfied with them.

What makes them different from others is their wide color selection and "thumb-free" installation.

I wouldn't say that this is totally "thumb-free" but you can save your fingerprints a bit using the provided tool. For me, using the tool to screw the compression ring wasn't that much easy. Also, there is risk of scratch while using the tool.(though not as much as using "real" tool)

Overall, I still like the fitting and will use them in future builds.

Does anyone have images of these new fittings?

Agree 100% here. Lack of thumb damage was welcome but I did scratch them up a little with the tool.

I'm using them in my build, but wish I hadn't. Even though I purchased the Monsoon fittings that matched the ID and OD of my tubing, I just cannot get the compression ring to screw down over the tubing and onto the barb, and believe me I tried for over an hour. However, I have heard that there are some problems with people who order the fittings being sent the wrong size, but as the packaging does not state what ID/OD the fittings are rated for I have no way to tell if this has happened to me. I will say this though, the little wrench thingy they include to help you tighten the fittings is far and away better than using your fingers, and the fittings do look nice. The large range of colours you can choose from is also a great feature.

You could always measure them. Just saying.

I'd guess you got the wrong size fittings. Mine had the id/od on the outside of the black box on a label. Mine were tight but manageable.
