Thread Starter
I just bought it 2 weeks ago and it was a giant leap upgrading from my 22" monitor which wasn't even 1080p. Now I'm looking to return my ASUS for a 27".

What do you guys thing of this one ASUS MX279H http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236309

There's a tigerdirect store 8 minutes away from my house. thumb.gif One day I'll jump to 1440p.... whenever I have the cash.... and the itch. tongue.gif

EDIT... bah.. didn't see there was an ASUS MX thread.

Ok ill share my experience:

The last 2 years I had a 24 inch Samsung syncmaster 1080P. Was very happy with it, but I wondered if 27 inch would be an upgrade and so I bought a LG 27 inch 1080p screen for around 300 euro's.

At first it looked better but when I compared it with my OLd Samsung the colors were not to my pleasing (tried every setting). Also the pixel size was worse (ofcourse) I returned the LG and bought a second hand Dell ultrasharp U2711 1440P screen (still with warranty).

Im glad I paid the extra 100 euro's and I really like the extra space on my desktop and my games look even better on 1440P.
