Won't the 384-bit help Titan though? Like for most games that don't hit the VRAM limit anyways, 384-bit interface would help more than you're calculation implies?

Agreed.

I don't believe you can just add the memory bandwidth on the 690 and call it "384". If I am not mistaken, its still 192, but there s just two of them. Doubt it would be the same performance as a theoretical 384 bandwidth.

Well for low resolutions it will be more than fine. I`m just a little concerned if Titan will not perform optimally once the resolution and visual goodies is cranked up.

I have no idea if the memory bandwidth of 690 is even remotely saturated in the higher resolutions anyways.
Nvidia probably have this under control so I shouldn`t worry.

75% of 690 bandwidth is pretty good. After all its 50% more bandwidth than GTX 680

I don't see how nvidia could sell a card for this much money if it wouldn't do good with the visuals turned up. I mean that is why they are releasing it right?

Well low resolutions in Titan`s terms is pretty high biggrin.gif

I`m talking multi screen setups and stuff like that where the reduction in memory bandwidth might show some signs. I`m pretty sure it won`t though.

I`m not sure how this work against Dual GPU setups. Will a 384bit bus benefit against 2x256bit bus in the higher resolutions? Or is it really 384bit vs 512bit?

If the memory comes clocked at 1502Mhz like the 680 with a 384bit bus it should be 288Gbps which should be alright for 1600p.

EDIT: The 256 Bus on the GTX 690 is 256bit per GPU. Thus it is only getting 192Gbps to each GPU. Just like only 2GB of VRAM per gpu.
