Where did you get the number for 680m=900 dollars?

3940XM cpu=1100 dollars?

2 SSDs = 1000 dollars?

Where the hell are you finding this information?

No one spends 1000 dollars on playing games because they need to, and that's how its extreme. You'll notice no one disagrees for a reason. No matter how you spin it, the common man would look at you questioningly if you spent 1000 dollars on a device to put video on a small screen.

Not to mention Ill bet my server that these stats are either horse excrement, or more likey the cost will be around 1200.

Come on bro.

RE: The 480 thing, that might not have been you, but it was you that thinks 3x 7970 pulls above 750 watts.

proof.gif seeing as common math argues with this...

Edit: Im out, no content in 5 pages.

Flame flame flame... too busy flaming to bother to look up pricing apparrently?

As far as I am concerned the Titan comes down to a couple of main points (without verified benchmarks to go off of). Will titan be close enough to a a dual gpu option, to make it worth losing a tiny bit of performance, but getting rid ofSLI headaches/problemss. And, will the money spent on the single card solution justify all the parts in my previous sentence. Sure I would love to have a Titan match a 690, but not at lets say $2,000. Sure I would love a single card solution at $1,000, but not if it is FAR inferior to a sli set up. My sweet spot is under $1,000 (Maybe $1,100 max) and perforance within 10% of a 690, with the ability to overclock and at least match a 690. If for some reason they were released at $700-$800 I might be able to convice the wife to let me get two, but that price point wont happen. Chances are we will be lucky to even get one card.

I've had the last 2 generations of Nvidia gpu's both in Sli config's and I just don't see any of the Sli problems or headache's you call it. My 580's that I had and my 690 run flawlessly. All the current big time games BF3,FC3,C3 all use upwards of 97-99% of each gpu at all times. I know Amd have been having tons of frame latency and stutter problems with crossfire this and last generation but from my experience this hasn't been the case for me with Nvidia. I never overclock gpu's so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. All I'm saying is just don't pass on Sli because of past generations problems with it. Sli is only going to get better and most if not all new games will be fully optimized for sli rigs. Single cards are great for a single 1080p screen but we aren't quite there yet to have a single gpu push higher resolutions properly.

I may roll the dice on dual Titans if they really do turn out to be the bee's knees and chance wife rage. When she saw the 690 glowing the the side panel of my case all she said was "that's obnoxious..." How mad could she really get?! thumb.gif

Pretty mad. But hey, who needs a woman to keep you warm at night, this GPU might pull 300W! biggrin.gif

With all the arguing going on I think we're done here. The thread hasn't been about the OBR benches for ages.
