[Build Log] Stimpy - Prodigy Build (first time modder)

Thread Starter

I call it "Stimpy" because it's short and fat. I've built dozens of systems over the last 14 years, but I've never had the guts to do any case modding or water cooling beyond closed loops from corsair. Part of my new year's resolution has been to finally get the courage to break some stuff and learn some new things.

Base Parts (so far):

  • Case: BitFenix Prodigy Artic White Mini-ITX
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
  • MB: ASRock Z77E-ITX
  • GPU: EVGA SuperClocked+ GTX 680 2GB
  • RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866
  • SSD: 2 x 240GB Corsair Force Series GT (RAID-0)
  • Controller: BitFenix White Recon
  • PSU: Cooler Master Silent Pro M700 700W

No theme as of yet. Toying with trying to get as much white as I can into the system, including the dye for the loop. Also want to have some white radiators and fans on the outside of the case -- with having as much room as I can on the inside.

On order/backorder:

  • EK GeForce 680 GTX+ VGA Block Arcylic CSQ (EK-FC680)
  • EK GeForce 680 Backplate - Black CSQ
  • EK Supremecy CPU Block - Nickel
  • FrozenCPU Pump Kit (MCP655/Bitspower Mod Top/Upgrade Kit)
  • Bitspower Water Tank - 150/Clear Inline Reservoir (BP-WTZM150P-BK)
  • Alphacool NexXxos ST30 Full Copper - Dual 120mm (white)
  • Alphacool NexXxos XT45 Full Copper - Single 120mm (white)
  • Various matte black Bitspower compression fittings
  • PrimoChill LRT Tubing 3/8"x1/2" OD, Clear
  • Mayhems Pastel Coolant - Ice White
  • Noiseblocker Fans -- not sure which ones yet
  • 1 or 2 white LED strips
  • Custom power button (to replace stock config)
  • Alchemy sleeved cables -- not ready to do this yet myself
  • BitFenix 230mm case fan -- mounted on the front
  • MNPCTech "Honeycomb" 120mm Acrylic Fan Grill- Black
  • MNPCTech "Honeycomb" 230mm Acrylic Fan Grill- Black

DIY windows a little rough my first time out. Don't have the use of a Dremel down to a science yet. I have channel molding and 3mm acrylic on order.

Completion Goal: 4/1/2013

Subbed,, am curious to see how this goes, as I am looking to put my prodigy under water to.

Nice job on the window, for a first time I think it looks good.
