Graphics card for legacy rig

Thread Starter
So very shortly i will be building a legacy rig based on a p4 platform. I'd like to keep all the parts pretty nostalgic so im limiting myself to agp cards. I'm looking to use this rig to play Swat, older rainbow six titles and pretty much games from around that era, but i would also like it if the rig could still handle games like Counter Strike GO and TF2 for LANing purposes. I've basically got everything planned out but i need a find a graphics card. Any help?

Right around the time PCIe got popular, I had a VGA BFG 7800GS 256MB (AGP). It was a very good AGP card. They sell on ebay for $30-$40. Thats what I'd look for, an AGP card that was made right around when AGP was beginning to phase out. Definitely take care in regard to the card working with your Mobo of choice.

Im looking more into ATi cards, but im not ruling out nvidia. From what i've read if i get too new of a card i won't be able to run older games as well as older cards would, I was looking at an ATI x850, or an Nvidia 6600, but ill definitely check out that 7800GS

X1950XT My last endeavor with AGP. Had this thing on Gigabyte mobo equipped with a P4 2.8 Northwood OC'd to 3.7 on air. Boy would that thing get hot.

You can check this site out, inventory changes a lot. This one sold out though.
