Crucial Anniversary RAM

Thread Starter
Is this RAM any good? It only runs at 667MHz but is supposed to be very overclockable. I was going to buy CellShock PC2-6400 but would the Crucial be the better buy, considering it's £30 cheaper? All help is appreciated!

It can overclock to ddr2-6400 while still saying at cas3. With increased voltage and some good cooling, it's been able to go up to 1000mhz

Crucial has the same ICs as the Cellshock, as far as I'm aware, D9GMH

The 10th anniversary is great and if they're £30 cheaper go for them.

I'm sure CellShock are great also but £30 is a lot of English pesos so....save the cash.

Thaks for the replies, these are the two kits I'm looking at:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-085-CR
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=MY-000-CK
ATM, I'm leaning slightly towards the Crucial kit mainly because its cheaper, and I'm guessing it will OC past 800MHz with the latencies relaxed. I'm hoping to reach a 400MHz FSB (if thats possible with this board?) if that helps.

ROFL never mind.

Thought 4/12/06 was April 12th, 2006 and not December 4th 2006, forgot about how the rest of the world does dates.

Yeah, that's 2 days away.

To be honest with you, you might have some problems with that board and those sticks.

I thought D9 chips were, for the most part, incompatible with the D/S3.. or was this resolved in a BIOS update?

400mhz? They rip through that, you could get as much as 500mhz.

My XMS2 DDR2 675s are doing 442mhz with 4-4-4-8 CAS @ 2.20v easy but that's the wall, those Crucial can do 500mhz with CAS 4-4-4-12 with 2.30v or 2.40v. So rest assure you're getting a nice kit for what money can buy.

I was going to buy a set of those but they're out of stock here in the U.S. and they aren't coming back in stock, so grab a pair while you can or you'll be sorry.
