Right after a few runs, - i am stable @4.8 with 1.3V - i have tried lowering my cpu pll, and it doesn't seem to lower my temperatures - if i go any lower than 1.5(i think it was) it wont boot.

For me to get my settings right, i used the oc tuner which enabled what i needed, then i set m/p to 4.8 and manual vcore @1.25, it didnt boot, so i increased it 2 notches a time, till it booted and ran stable.

My temps max out @ 83/84, mostly hovering around 73-75, i can get 4.9 and it will hit 92/93 - as it did before, but i was worried about the temps, even though my only application(stress wise) will take the 4.8 to around 68-72 for around 6 hours a day - if that, my guess is if i go 4.9 and the temps hit - even 80 that will be fine, - after all - its only for 6 months till i can get it de-lidded/lapped and LMU put under the bonnet.

What do u guys think? any tips?

Regards

My stable 4.8GHz voltage is around 1.36v, so 1.3v seems awesome. thumb.gif
Temps look good too, similar to mine. I'd stick with the 4.8 at those temps though, 90º would be too much for me.

Just failed prime @ the 11th hour, and it appears i was talking shegite, my vcore was set @1.32V, :whistle:so i will up it a notch or 2 and see how it goes, hopefully it will stay stable at 1.4V tops!

EDIT:

What program do most use for benchmarking? ie 3dmark etc etc

How low can i go with the pll voltage? - thats what i use to try decrease temps right?

EDIT:

Can i increase the bclk without increasing temps or instability issues? i am sure i read somewhere i can go as high as 103 but NO MORE, is this correct? would i need more voltage?

Hey guys,

I get up this morning, to find my overclock wasn't quite right.

I originally had a multi of 47.

Cpu z showed that.

Now - in order for me to be able to overclock, I had to use the oc tuner to give me 4.2 then manually change the multi to 47.

Now I cant get above 3.9 with the oc tuner!!
even loading my saved profile @ 4.7 just gives me my 3.8

ATM its running @ 3.914, and wont go above

Any ideas?

Ok, just done another oc tuner, and it went thru the cycle twice (as it does do normally,(prior to today where it only done the cycle once)) now its gave me 4.223 (41X103.2)

I bet you a penny to a pound of shi#e that it lets me go to 4.7 again!!

Watch this space........

....... I knew it!!! ok so I forgot to change my bclk, which is still @103.02 but my multi has stayed @47

what is going on????
