code cathode FL

Thread Starter
hey guys im new to the forum and ive been looking into CCFLs for a while
now and i have always had a question that bugged me about CCFLs i know
that they run on 12V and need an inverter to get it up to 600V ish, but how much current is the power supply supposed to give? 300mA? 500mA? from all the sites that i read it says 5.0mA but i think PC power supplies give out more then 5.0mA of current. as i thought most PC power supplies give out 3-5A of current wouldnt that burn out the CCFLs?

Thanks

the Power supply can give out various power outputs, depending on your power supply. Please fill out your system specs in the UserCP.

I had an inverter catch fire inside of my case once.

That was the last time a CCFL ever entered my case.
