DIR-655 replacement?

Thread Starter
Recently my DIR-655 died on me somehow, it was a great router, however it won't see the cable coming from my ISP's modem anymore. It just says "Cable: Disconnected" I can still access the router, however it seems like the port is defective. So what router would be the best replacement? Budget is around $100-150.

Regards
Jacob

I am replacing same router rt ac66u. Almost 200, a bit less open box, but I wanted ac protocol. The rt n66u is the same, without ac, for about 168. They look good, but I haven't gotten my hands on it yet to tell for sure lol.

I just switched from a DIR-655 to a RT-AC66U, and Im pretty happy with it.
It does everything the DIR-655 plus more, althoe the software isnt as user friendly imo.
