I already have one his 7970 water cooled but want to add another one. I have this water block. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16692/ex-blc-1183/EK_Radeon_HD_7970_VGA_Liquid_Cooling_Block_-_Acetal_CSQ_EK-FC7970_-_Acetal_q9s1590b133#blank. What do I need to add another 7970. I know I need to get another water block plus I already the the crossfire bridge.

Do you mean an ek mutli block bridge, or the crossfire ribbon cable? If you already have the ek bridge, you don't need anything other than a second identical ek 7970 block and enough radiator capacity in your loop.

I mean the ribbon cable. I think the block comes with a FC link bridge, I think.

It comes with an ek link bridge for single gpu, in addition you would need to purchase one of these with the proper spacing for your pci-e slots http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16697/ex-blc-1186/EK_FC_Bridge_Dual_Parallel_3-Slot_CSQ_-_SLI_Connection_-_Acetal_EK-FC_Bridge_DUAL_Parallel_3-Slot_CSQ.html

Ok what about serial and parallel though?
Serial is lower overall loop flow with more flow to the gpus, while parallel is actually less restrictive than even one gpu block, but you get half the flow to each gpu. With a long single loop, its better to put the gpus in parallel for higher overall loop flow as the performance hit is pretty low, gpus don't run very hot on water.
