GPU backplate? - Page 2

I have the 670 4GB version with VRAM on the back. I'm using the XSPC block and back plate. The water keeps my GPU below 31C on furmark, but the back plate does become hot.

Yeah I was just wondering because I had a 670 Superclocked 4gb with EK waterblock and backplate in a fractal 1000 one time. The backplate would get really hot to touch and eventually my card died. It would run a game for 5 minute then become a black screen or white. I don't know if it was cause the memory getting hot so thats why I was wondering cause my new cards didn't come with backplate and I was wondering if I should invest in them
