But with AMD's bundle, the items you get don't have fake value, they have real value, in the real world. This is why people consider that a fail. The fake cash is like monopoly money. It has value in the game, but in real life, we all know you can't use it at the store as legal tender.

Must not be much of a business savvy guy. Just because fake money is worthless to you doesn't mean it's worthless to everyone. You can probably sell the $50 in game money voucher to someone who plays the game for $40-45. As long as its a better rate than they'd pay direct to the devs they have no complaints. That's probably the same or more than your used copy of a game (potentially with some limited number of remaining PC activations) will sell for even one month after you get it.

Value is all relative. Your grandma won't see much of this so called "real value" in your used game. Entertainment has value, and enabling entertainment has value... Whether its a single player game or a hat that is super ridiculous and funny in tf2 and starts a lot of banter in voice chat... It's valuable.

P.S. Money is paper. It's worthless. It's only valuable because you and I agree to let it be.

And you lost performance.......good choice.

Making a GPU decision based on the games that come with it is just not smart IMO. Research and find the best performance on your budget.

in game purchase is kind of like wasted money.....At least most DLCs are not one-time-use.

He did. 7850 and GTX660 trade blows in games. 7850 is about $50 cheaper and came with 2 free $60 AAA titles... He made a great choice!

Edit> In fact, @ 660 prices, he'd be best served moving to 7870 Tahiti XT for much better performance. He said 660, not 660ti

They should put this sentence to that deal "PAY 2 WIN WITH GTX 6xx SERIES GPU!11". This has to be the most worst deal ever biggrin.gif No changes against Never Settle.

Incorrect. GTX 660 stomps the 7850 in 95% of benches. Also the cheapest 7870 XT is $259 bucks the cheapest GTX 660 is $204, so again you are mistaken.

7850 is a great GPU but fact is he chose a lesser GPU just to get games, I personally wouldn't do that, I base my buys on performance.

I'd also rather get free game than this. But, games that AMD give in mid section are usually total crap anyway.
So, I'm still in same palce where I don't care about these bundles frown.gif

He was saying the 7850 is about $50 cheaper than the 660 Ti, which is true.

The 7870 outperforms the GTX 660 and costs about the same price and includes 2 big AAA titles.

The difference is less than 10%, the diffference in actual games will be negligible. Paying less and getting games for free on the other hand, is a lot of money saved if he was going to play those games anyway.
