[PCPer] NVIDIA Joins the Bundle Game: Up to $150 in credit on Free-to-Play games for all GTX buyers - Page 4

Pretty decent for those who love the free-to-play style games (its not just poor people who play those). Planetside 2 is definitely fun and looks great. I saw a video for Hawken and its looks pretty cool. Can't say much for World of Tanks but who doesn't love tanks? Overall not as bad as a deal as some people are saying.

If it was something like Dota 2 where you can use the money for many things i would consider it a good deal.

Just because some people don't like the bundle doesn't mean it doesn't make sense for a certain market.

I don't like it, but I can see the value for different sorts of gamers.

If you seriously think the F2P market isn't significant for hardware sales I don't know what to say. The market has premium quality games that need good hardware to run at good settings. The F2P market is so big now because the business model actually works and people pay for the stuff.

Again, on average the normal F2P gamer might not upgrade very often but the amount of those gamers compared to "hardcore" gamers who only like hitman, far cry, crysis, BF, is huge.

TL;DR please look beyond your own games of preference and realize that F2P is a huge market that can be tapped into.

Lame. Why did I have to buy a GPU before the 12.11 drivers and before the bundle???

This is really pathetic by NVIDIA...I expected MOAR. Glad I picked up a couple of AMD cards this go around for the vouchers.

Really NVidia, this is the best you could come up with?

Its quite obvious that the reason for buying a GTX650 or faster card is to play graphically intensive games like crysis.

This is why I find it strange that MSI and Powercolor sponsor DOTA 1 tournaments in my country to market high-end cards.

Honestly, Ive never met a dota 1 player here that even spent $100 on a videocard.
Most of them use a 9500GT or GT210 smile.gif

I guess its safe to assume that Nvidia and it's partners make a lot more money on sales of low-end cards compared to gaming cards.

Surprisingly yes, to a degree. But not really for the most part. But for some free gold and be able to retire my GTX 465's it's just the excuse.
