So that is all we are going to get with the purchase of the GTX Titan? $150 credit for world of tanks lol. I want to play alien and tomb raider?

I s'pose their idea isn't bad in that they give you a decent amount of "credit", but I think the real problem lies in the actual marketing of it... I don't think they're going to grab nearly as many buyers of expensive video cards by targeting that segment. I honestly do not know anybody who plays F2P games on the norm... and especially none that would jump to buying a new video card just because there are some F2P credits...

What AMD is doing with high profile games speaks to the gamers a lot better and more directly with surely a much better outcome than some F2P games that I guarantee a lot of people have never even heard of.

As someone else said, a Steam credit or something would have been a solid idea.

To me, a bundled game is a bonus. I choose my card based on how much I have to spend, then finding which card (regardless of who made it) best fits within that budget while providing the best performance.

Are people actually buying cards because they come with a game?

Incentives surely help push people over the edge when they're teeter-tottering between buying and not. If they can get more value for their money, that tends to be enough to trigger the purchase. People love getting something for free. Or in the case of people who already have them, they see it as a solid opportunity to add another in Crossfire/SLI.

Well I guess its because all of those games support Nvidia specific stuff like PhysX? I mean, they did not add anything before so I do not really care, it is just a bonus not a reason to buy it IMO.

As much as I like my 660 Ti, this is a huge mis-step for Nvidia. You don't counter 2 AAA blockbuster titles with $150 in F2P fun money across 3 titles. I love Planetside 2, but an HD 7870 plays Planetside 2 and World of Tanks perfectly (haven't played Hawken yet.)

As much of a powerhouse as Nvidia is, I think they just lost this generation of video cards. I'm sure they know it too. Nvidia really did do something awesome with Kepler, but AMD is killing it on price (and performance) now.

Now, AMD just needs to turn a profit, and everything will be perfect in Red-land. thumb.gif

World of tanks? That is about as enticing as a world of warcraft voucher. I'd probably pay more to not have that trash included. No need for kung fu panda on my gpu box.
